Another exciting Premier League season has come to an end where Chelsea were crowned Champions for the first time since 2010.
After watching so many Premier League games in the Premier Sports Memorabilia office, we were asked the question: Who were the best Premier League Players in 2015? After much passionate debate, here is our answer:
15. Wilfried Bony
Manchester City’s recent acquisition has been in terrific form and was a force to be reckoned with whilst playing for Swansea in the last half of the season.
14. Fraser Forster
Forster has been able to provide a steady keeper for Southampton and after crucial clean sheets against top sides; his stock is definitely on the rise.
13. Christian Eriksen
The midfielder has gone from strength to strength at Tottenham and is now widely rated as one of the best playmakers in the League.
12. Jose Fonte
The centre-back has been in exception form for Southampton and currently tops the tackles list in the English top flight.
11. Nemanja Matic
After returning from his spell in Portugal, Matic has redefined himself as a tough tackling midfielder, whose services were direly needed at Stamford Bridge. And considering his excellent form, his inclusion in this list should not come as a surprise.
10. Charlie Austen
A truly inspirational story, the QPR striker has been in magnificent form for the relegation threatened club and it’s his continuous goal-scoring feats that have kept the side’s hopes of staying in the top English division for now.
9. Yaya Toure
The Ivorian has always been rated as top, top midfielder and after a run-in with the management a little while ago, he seems to be back to his very best, powering his way through the opposing midfield to get the goals City need.
Despite the enormous odds, Southampton have kept up their superb form and Tadic has played a major role in that with his commanding performances.
7. John Terry
Chelsea captain John Terry has always been an inspiration figure at the helm and despite being at the edge of his career, he continues to rise above attackers and help the Blues retain top position in the Premier League.
6. Wayne Rooney
England International Rooney has been scoring freely for Manchester United this term and with a burgeoning partnership with Robin Van Persie, it’s safe to assume that United will benefit enormously this season.
5. Alexis Sanchez
Chilean hotshot Alexis Sanchez has had a great first season with the Gunners leading them to FA Cup glory.
4. Diego Costa
Costa has adjusted to the Premier League immediately in his first season, his big haul of goals leading Chelsea to the Premier League trophy.
3. David DeGea
The Spanish shot-stopper has further cemented his position as one of the world’s top goalkeepers with commanding performances this term. And if he continues at this rate, he might give Manuel Neuer a run for his money.
2. Harry Kane
In his breakout season, Kane has been inspirational scoring over 30 goals for Spurs. And with a debut England goal to his name, the future is extremely bright for the talented starlet. He also picked up the Premier League young player of the year award.
1. Eden Hazard
The diminutive Belgian led Chelsea to the Premier League title and he also picked up the Premier League player of the year award. Can Hazard go one better and lead Chelsea to the Champions League next season?
